So, to catch up all very quickly (since we have been very lazy about updating):
1. We were extras in a Bollywood film, with this guy who likes to check his hair every 2 minutes:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shahid_Kapoor We even got paid! Thinking we were so cool for being asked, turns out they ask any white person they can find, by the end of our stay in Mumbai, we had been asked to participate in 3 different Bollywood movies, and a music video. We said once was enough.
2. Stan got Dehli Belly on Thanksgiving, oh the irony.
3. We made it through Colaba Causeway without buying anything, although it took us until our last day in Mumbai.
4. We successfully bought train tickets, by ourselves. A HUGE feat!
5. We successfully took an overnight train to Jaipur. Stan didn't get very much sleep.
6. The car honking in Mumbai and Jaipur gave us headaches. We both almost killed autorickshaw drivers for failing to leave us alone.
7. We spent an afternoon at Jantar Mantar, a really interesting outdoor observatory. Stan was in heaven and Bevin got to take lots of photos of people who didn't know she was taking photos of them, or so she thought.
8. Bevin did not buy any silver, jewelry or fabric, despite Jaipur being the supposed capital of such things.
9. We survived a very scary 5 1/2 hour bus ride from Jaipur to Agra. Apparently passenger buses like to play chicken with truck drivers on one lane highways.
10. Stan finished "The Stand" and hated it. Bevin is on her third book (ok, they are all like 75 words per page).
11. We saw the Taj Mahal today. It was spectacular.

Hated the stand? wow. i thought it was pretty good, but would say that he needs to figure out how to end a book. It was kind of like the 3rd lord of the rings movie, you keep thinking it is over, but it just keeps going.
I guess I lost my bet...

Changed my underwear today... then changed my mind. Found a dime under the drivers side floormat... kept it all to myself. Told my neighbor to close his car windows before it rains... whats funny about that is... it was already raining. Emailed the inventor of the ziplock baggie... I always wanted to do that.
Tis the season - the Phils lost Rowand to San Francisco and Wilco tix go on sale for the Tower tomorrow morning. Watching It's a Wonderful Life "no, no, no, no -- I want a big one" and getting set for the annual visit from Santa to the Brady's tomorrow night -where the extended first met Bevin two years ago over a bottle of Zyr and some caustic words from Bing. The Green Mile is where you should have gone if you were going with King but if I might make a suggestion it would be for the Grapes of Wrath to keep that appreciation for your native land. Miss you guys and look forward to the stories - "We serve hard drinks for men who want to get drunk fast" - why is Nick acting so strange? I'll be sure to raise a glass of nog to you both.
stHate is a strong word. It was ok but did read like the ABC Sunday night movie. Read Everyman by P Roth and Autumn Quail by an egytian writer Naguib Mahfouz which were good. Picked up Midnights Children by Rushdie which has been excellent so far. Rick I'll be over to see you just as soon as we return to collect. And Fifty, what can I say, keep on keepin on man.
